Challenge
The project took place on a Senior Housing facility. Part of the scope of work included the removal and disposal of the existing gutters and downspouts. Additionally the siding needed to be removed down to the sheathing. This then will mean that the sheathing would be inspected for rotten or bad wood. Lastly, there was some painting that was needed on the exterior of the building.
Solution
After the removal of all gutters and downspouts, these were replaced with 6” aluminum seamless gutters as well as 3”x4” downspouts. The siding was replaced with LP Smartside engineered wood siding with Tyvek Homewrap as protection against moisture and water. The siding was then painted with Sherwin-Williams paint.
