Challenge This client's home in Denver, CO was hit hard by several hailstorms the past few years, leaving the exterior of the home in need of repairs to the roof, siding, windows, and pergola. Since the home was damaged from back-to-back storms it made the insurance claims process challenging. Additionally, the homeowner wanted upgraded energy efficient windows.
Solution Our project manager and claims department initially tried to get the damage from both storms onto one claim but were unsuccessful. We recommended the homeowner hire a 3rd party public adjuster to help negotiate the loss, especially because there was so much uncertainty with what insurance would and wouldn't cover. After a very tough negotiating process with the insurance company and the public adjuster, the client’s home was approved for full replacement on one claim which helped save the client money and helped keep the date of loss from expiring.
